Plaicel™ by ForQuest Solutions brings live IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) data into Microsoft Excel - in the browser, on the desktop, on a Mac, and on an iPad. No desktop install. No VPN. Open Excel, connect to your TM1 environment, and start working.

Plaicel writes live TM1 values into real Excel cells, not a proprietary grid - so any AI assistant that reads a worksheet is reading your planning model. Ask Claude for Excel to explain a variance, test a scenario, or summarize what is driving a number, and it answers against current TM1 values, in Excel for the web. No export. No copy-paste. No stale extract.

Plaicel also includes an AI assistant in the task pane with read-only access to your model, for questions about structure and lineage - which cube holds a figure, how it was calculated, what a view contains.
