CHIRP

CHIRP is an open-source radio programming software used by amateur radio operators to configure and manage a wide range of radios from manufacturers such as Baofeng, Yaesu, Icom, and others. It provides a user-friendly graphical interface that allows users to easily edit radio memory channels, frequencies, tones, and other settings on a computer and then upload or download the configuration to the radio using a compatible USB programming cable. CHIRP helps simplify radio management, making it easier to organize channel lists, back up configurations, and maintain consistent settings across multiple devices.

$ sudo su
$ cd /opt

$ python3 chirpwx.py --version
