This On-Premises SQL Server to Microsoft Fabric Managed Migration Service helps organizations modernize their legacy SQL Server data platforms and operate them as a fully managed solution within Microsoft Fabric.
The service covers both the initial migration of SQL Server data warehouses to Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse and the ongoing management of ingestion pipelines, performance optimization, monitoring, and governance. It enables customers to get started with or extend their use of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric without maintaining on-prem infrastructure or custom ETL tooling.
Once migrated, data is centrally stored in OneLake and made available through Fabric Warehouse for analytics and reporting. Fabric Data Factory pipelines are used to automate ingestion, incremental loads, validation, and orchestration. Power BI is used as the enterprise reporting layer for business and operational analytics.
This managed service is designed for customers who want a reliable, scalable, and secure Fabric environment with continuous operational support rather than a one-time migration project.
