hopit Edge
izdevējs HEAP Engineering GmbH
Connect industrial machines to Azure IoT Hub and manage edge devices across factories.
hopit Edge connects industrial machines and automation systems with cloud, analytics and enterprise applications.
The standalone .NET edge application runs directly on industrial PCs and collects, processes and routes machine data close to the production environment.
hopit Edge supports industrial interfaces including OPC UA, Siemens S7, Beckhoff ADS, Modbus and MQTT. Namespace discovery, signal mapping, local buffering and data routing help turn heterogeneous machine interfaces into consistent, usable data streams.
Connect factory data to Microsoft Azure
hopit Edge integrates with Microsoft Azure IoT Hub for machine-data streaming and supports capabilities such as Device Twins and remote tasks.
Machine data can also be sent to MQTT platforms, hopit services and other supported systems or processed locally without requiring a cloud connection.
Process data locally
Built-in edge capabilities include local time-series storage, Grafana dashboards, data transformation, buffering, monitoring and Python-based processing.
This enables production data to be collected and used locally while forwarding only the required information to cloud or enterprise systems.
Manage edge devices centrally
hopit Portal provides the centralized management layer for hopit Edge deployments.
The Azure-hosted Portal uses Azure IoT services to onboard, monitor and manage Edge devices across machines and factory sites. Microsoft Entra ID authentication and role-based access control support integration with existing enterprise identity environments.
hopit Edge runs primarily on Windows, with Linux, Docker and FreeBSD support currently in preview.
Typical use cases include machine connectivity, industrial IoT gateways, PLC data acquisition, factory data collection, edge device management and connecting production equipment with Microsoft Azure.
