In a scenario where the inventory is been used heavily such as retail and manufacturing, the inventory count is regularly been used. Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management puts a lock to hold temporarily inventory transactions on every item being count. If Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management doesn’t find a particular entry in a form 'Warehouse items' for a specific warehouse, then it puts a lock on 'All Blank' inventory transactions in all the warehouses. This periodic jobs search for the current on-hand and creates entries in the warehouse items table to avoid global locking.
