Paramount Device Lens — Advanced Device Monitoring and Compliance Check

Device Lens is a Microsoft Intune-integrated compliance agent built by Paramount Computer Systems that gives IT teams a complete, real-time view of device health across their environment — no manual querying, no sampling, no gaps.

Inputs

  • A natural-language compliance query (e.g., "Show all device compliance status")
  • Microsoft Intune managed device inventory, retrieved live via Microsoft Graph API using delegated user credentials
  • Compliance policy states per device from Intune
  • Individual setting-level compliance states per policy

Tasks

  • Fetches the complete managed device inventory from Microsoft Intune across all platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android)
  • Filters and identifies every non-compliant device — no sampling, no pagination gaps
  • Retrieves compliance policy states for each non-compliant device to identify which policies are failing
  • Drills into each failing policy to surface the root-cause setting failures (e.g., BitLocker disabled, OS below minimum version, firewall off, Defender signatures stale)
  • Aggregates setting failures across all devices to identify the most impactful issues fleet-wide
  • Calculates compliance metrics: total devices, compliant count, non-compliant count, compliance rate percentage, and risk status
  • Generates a structured, executive-ready compliance report in a single response

Outputs

  • Executive Summary — total devices, compliant vs. non-compliant count, compliance rate, and a risk status indicator (Healthy / At-Risk / Critical)
  • Platform Breakdown — compliance figures segmented by operating system
  • Full Non-Compliant Device List — every flagged device with its name, OS, last sync date, failing policies, and the specific setting failures causing non-compliance — none omitted
  • Policy Impact Summary — the most common setting failures ranked by number of devices affected, with remediation guidance for each
  • Prioritized Action Items — remediation steps ordered by device impact (highest first)
