About Key and Box for Outlook

Key and Box for Outlook enables secure file sharing without leaving your inbox. Encrypt files, apply access controls, and deliver sensitive content confidently—right from the compose window.

What you can do

• Send secure files directly from a new or existing message.
• Set access controls (e.g., recipient-only access) and optional restrictions.
• Track and manage secured shares from the task pane.

How it works

1. Open the compose window in Outlook and launch the Key and Box add-in.
2. Select files to secure, choose access settings, and insert the secured link.
3. Send your email as usual; recipients access according to the permissions you set.

Requirements

• Outlook on the web, new Outlook for Windows, or Outlook for Mac.
• Microsoft 365 or Exchange account with add-ins enabled by your admin.

Licensing

Key and Box requires a license. All new users receive a 14-day full trial, after which the service is £12 per month. For full details, see the licensing page.
