Management app simplifies the entire process, letting your team quickly claim available spaces based on
the exact date, time, and setup they need. By taking the friction out of scheduling, it helps your organization
maximize its workspace and eliminate those awkward "hey, we actually booked this room" moments.
Whether you're planning a quick one-on-one interview, a company-wide training session, a client conference, or a
routine team catch-up, this app handles it all. Need a space every Tuesday at 10 AM? No problem. The app seamlessly
supports both one-time reservations and recurring meetings (whether they repeat daily, weekly,
monthly, or on a custom schedule that works for you).
For Admins
Keeping the room directory accurate is entirely stress-free. Administrators can add new rooms, update details on the
fly, or archive spaces that are temporarily out of commission. Best of all, the app's built-in validation engine
does the heavy lifting, automatically blocking double-bookings or overlapping times before they ever happen.
Stay in the Loop
No one likes being left out of a schedule change. The app automatically fires off email
notifications to keep everyone aligned whenever a room is:
- Newly booked
- Scheduled as a recurring event
- Updated or moved to a different time
- Cancelled

Getting Started (Installation)
Adding the app to your SharePoint site or subsite takes just a few clicks:
- Head over to your Site Contents.
- Click New, then select App.
- Search for Room Booking Management.
- Click Add, and you're good to go.
Hands-Free Setup
Don't worry about tedious backend configurations. The very first time you deploy the app, it automatically sets
itself up by:
- Building all the necessary SharePoint lists.
- Setting up custom permission levels.
- Provisioning the required SharePoint groups.
- Creating and configuring the core application page (
rb_RoomBooking.aspx).
Everything is configured behind the scenes so you can get up and running in a matter of minutes.
Approving Mail Permissions
To enable the application to send email notifications automatically, an administrator needs to approve the necessary
API access request in your tenant:
- Sign in with a SharePoint Administrator or Global Administrator account.
- Open the SharePoint Admin Center.
- In the left navigation pane, select Advanced → API access.
- Under Pending requests, locate the
Microsoft Graph - Mail.Sendpermission request. - Select the
Mail.Sendpermission request. - Click Approve.
- In the confirmation dialog, click Approve again to confirm.
- Verify that the permission is now listed under Approved permissions instead of Pending
requests.
