Installation & Activation


  • Sign up for a free 7-day trial
  • Install the solution in the desired environment
  • Once the installation is successful, confirm that the managed solution is installed
  • Visit https://simetrixconsult.com/free-trial/ and fill out the form to receive your organization's specific activation key.
  • Trial starts once you receive the activation key
  • Return to your environment and add an activity subgrid to any activity-enabled entity main form (Account, Lead, Opportunity, Case, or Custom entities using activities).
  • Select default view All Activities (we recommend that you add the following columns to the All Activities view: Subject, Regarding, Activity Status, Activity Type, Owner, Priority, Start Date, Due Date, Primary Email (Owning User), Actual End, Actual Start, Actual Duration, Date Created, Delivery Priority, Description)
  • Add a custom component to the subgrid
  • Select Get more components
  • Select Modern Timeline from Build by others tab
  • Select Email reply Mode to Modern
  • Enter the license key received from us
  • Press Done
  • Save and Publish the form
  • On a first run, the license will check your key against the licensing server, so it might take a few minutes to verify. Once verified, the license is cached for 12 hours before the next check is done.
To improve performance, the cache is stored in your organization, so every user or entity form using the Modern Timeline embedded in other forms will use this cache file for verification, which usually takes a few seconds.
