HyperCounsel is an AI-powered legal document assistant that works directly inside

Microsoft Word as a side-panel add-in. Built for lawyers, legal teams, and business

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Chat is the primary interface. Describe what you need in natural language and the

AI handles the rest:

• Redline Documents — Ask the AI to review your contract and propose changes.

Edits appear as tracked changes with reasons for each suggestion. Filter by

severity (critical, important, moderate, minor) and apply selectively.

• Insert Review Comments — The AI reviews your document and inserts advisory

margin comments flagging risks, missing protections, one-sided provisions,

ambiguous language, and regulatory issues.

• Respond to Comments — Select comments left by opposing counsel or colleagues.

Add per-comment or global response instructions, and the AI drafts professional

replies inserted as threaded responses.

• Edit or Delete Comments — Reword, soften, strengthen, or remove existing

comments through simple chat instructions.

• Implement Comments as Redlines — Convert reviewer feedback into tracked changes

with a single instruction.

• Review Tracked Changes — Analyse opposing counsel's markup and get

accept/reject/modify recommendations for each change.

• Draft Documents — Create contracts, letters, legal opinions, NDAs, and more

from scratch via a guided drafting workflow, or from a reference document such

as a letter of intent or term sheet.

• Export Comments — Generate a structured Word table summarising comments with

clause references and AI-suggested alternative wording.

• Ask Questions — Get instant analysis of any clause, provision, or section.

Highlight text in your document and ask about it for focused, contextual answers.

• Prompt Library — Pre-built prompts for common legal tasks including contract

• Reference Documents — Upload PDFs or Word files (LOIs, term sheets, related

the add-in. A 30-day free trial is included with full access to all features.

HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED

When you use HyperCounsel, your document content is transmitted securely over HTTPS

to our servers, where it is processed by third-party AI providers (via OpenRouter)

to generate suggestions, edits, and comments. Document content is processed in

real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers.

For sensitive documents, HyperCounsel includes PII Protection, which anonymises

personal information on your device before anything is sent — your original data

never leaves your device.

User data (account information, conversation history, preferences, clause library,

and reference documents) is stored securely in our cloud database (Supabase) with

encryption at rest and in transit, row-level security, and strict access controls.
