The VAT Information Exchange System

The VAT Information Exchange System (VIES) is an electronic means of transmitting information relating to VAT registration (i.e., validity of VAT numbers) of companies registered in the European Union for cross border transactions on goods and services.

The VIES validation add-on facilitates the work of D365 F&O users who can verify the contractor's VIES data directly in the system with external registers.

Thanks to these functionality it is possible to:

• automate the verification of the contractor's data in accordance with the data of the VAT Information Exchange System (VIES)
• eliminate errors that may occur during manual data entry

• save and view validation history
