AccessPoint is a subject access request (SAR) management solution built on Microsoft 365 for government organizations and regulated enterprises. It helps teams manage access to information requests for compliance with regulations like Canada's Access to Information Act (ATIA), US Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Full request lifecycle management
Create, assign, track, review, and close subject access requests with configurable workflows. Route assignments to custodians and contributors, track progress with real-time dashboards, and generate statistical reports for compliance reporting.
Document management with redaction
Upload documents from your desktop, SharePoint libraries, OneDrive, or as email files (.eml, .msg). Preview Office documents, PDFs, images, and email files directly in the browser. Apply redactions with the built-in PDF viewer before packaging documents for response.
Privacy by design
Six security roles (Administrator, Subject Access Officer, Reviewer, Custodian, Contributor, Reader) with role-based data access. Custodians and contributors work from sanitized instructions and never see requestor personally identifiable information (PII).
Data sovereignty
All data resides in your Azure tenant. The API, database, and document storage deploy to your own Azure subscription. No customer request data is shared with third parties or stored outside your environment.
Microsoft 365 native
Runs as a SharePoint web part. Authenticates with your existing Entra ID identities. Sends email notifications via your shared mailbox (Microsoft Graph). Full support for dark theme and high-contrast themes across SharePoint.
Multilingual
Full UI support for 11 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, Finnish, Swedish, and Polish. Translatable choice fields and notification templates for multilingual organizations.
Configuration packs
Import jurisdiction-specific configuration packs that include request types, choice fields, extension reasons, notification templates, and attestation templates. Get started in minutes with pre-built configurations for your regulatory framework.
No Power Platform required
AccessPoint runs on standard Azure infrastructure (App Service, Azure SQL, Blob Storage) and SharePoint Framework. No Dataverse, Power Apps, or additional platform licensing needed.
In order to use this app, you need to have an active AccessPoint subscription deployed in your Azure tenant.

Getting started instructions:
1. Subscribe to a plan and deploy AccessPoint to your Azure subscription using the provided ARM template and deployment script.
2. Install the AccessPoint app package in your SharePoint App Catalog.
3. Add the AccessPoint web part to a SharePoint page.
4. The first user to access AccessPoint is automatically granted Administrator and Subject Access Officer roles.
5. Open Settings to import a configuration pack for your jurisdiction, configure your notification mailbox, and invite your team.
