Warehouse Ops

Warehouse Ops is an AI agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot that provides real-time visibility into warehouse operations across orders, shipments, inventory, workload, labor, equipment, automation, and yard activities. Through natural language, it delivers operational insights, root cause analysis, exception management, and actionable recommendations. The agent helps warehouse planners and supervisors understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what to do next. By consolidating information traditionally spread across multiple WMS screens and reports, it surfaces the most critical issues based on business impact and KPIs such as shipment lateness, order cycle time, labor utilization, automation utilization, and inventory shortages.

Users can ask questions, investigate root causes, explore trends, and evaluate decisions through explainable, AI-driven insights — understanding tradeoffs and making confident, informed choices.

A key capability is the Daily Brief: a summary of operational performance, exceptions, risks, and recommended actions.

The agent continuously monitors KPIs and proactively recommends corrective actions in real time, including:

• Pre-Shift Readiness assessments covering workload, labor, inventory, yard, dock, and equipment availability.
• Intra-Shift Labor Rebalancing via Resource Orchestration to address changing workload conditions.
• Capacity-aware Order Streaming to reduce bottlenecks and idle time by autonomously streaming work to the floor.

The result is a shift from reactive to proactive warehouse operations — faster decisions, clearer priorities, and better service outcomes.

• Requires an active Blue Yonder Warehouse Management Solution and Warehouse Operations Agent Subscription with valid user access.

Getting Started

• This agent is installed directly from the Microsoft App Store.
• Once installed, users can interact with the agent using natural language prompts (for example, "Show root cause analysis for Late Shipments" or "Show picking analysis across all zones").
• On first use, users are guided through a secure sign-in flow to connect to their Blue Yonder Warehouse Management environment.

Authentication, Support, and Limitations

• This agent uses a secure OAuth 2.0 authentication flow with Blue Yonder Identity and Access Management.
• If users are not signed in or their session expires, the agent prompts reauthentication.
• Built-in guidance and documentation help users get started and troubleshoot common issues.

Supported Scope

• Root cause analysis across late shipment, order cycle time, short orders, and skip pick.
• Daily and on-demand briefings on Inventory Accuracy, Inventory Space Utilization, Picking Fill Rate, Inventory Expiry, Picking Rate and Efficiency, and predicted labor staffing issues.
• Natural language queries for detailed analysis and insights concerning picking operations, item handling, and location-specific data.
• Queries for real-time allocation inventory shorts, spillover work, and labor sufficiency at shift start.
• Guided workflows for exception management across resources through resource swaps and Order Streaming, and ability to initiate permitted actions with the Warehouse Management System.

Known Limitations

• Responses are limited to data available from the connected Blue Yonder environment.
• The agent does not modify data or commit transactions; actions occur in linked Blue Yonder applications.
• Intended for operational decision support and does not replace formal reporting or administrative workflows.
