Term Store Manager is a SharePoint Framework web part that streamlines governance of SharePoint Managed Metadata. Connect to any SharePoint site, browse Tenant or Site Collection term groups, and export term sets to a structured CSV that preserves the full 7-level hierarchy, descriptions, availability, and stable term IDs for safe round-tripping.
Editors can then bulk apply ADD, EDIT, DEPRECATE, and UNDEPRECATE actions from the same CSV or a lightweight standalone template, with validation preview, batch safeguards, and exponential-backoff retry against Microsoft Graph. Results are written back to a downloadable audit CSV, making taxonomy cleanup, migrations, and large-scale term changes repeatable and auditable.
PACKAGE CONTENTS: This solution package contains one SharePoint Framework client-side web part (Term Store Manager). It does not include any extensions, application customizers, or library components.
"LIMITATIONS: Term Store Manager operates against the Microsoft Graph Term Store API and requires two grants to write: (1) the Graph permission TermStore.ReadWrite.All approved in SharePoint Admin Center → Advanced → API access, and (2) the connected user must be a Term Store Administrator in SharePoint Admin Center → Content services → Term store → Term store admins. DEPRECATE and UNDEPRECATE operations are performed via SharePoint JSOM because the Graph deprecation API is incomplete; this requires JSOM scripts to load on the target site. CSV round-trip relies on the round-trip column set produced by Export to Update; standalone CSV imports without a matching Term ID column are validated by label match and may fail when labels are renamed."
