Modern app launcher for SharePoint intranets
App Launcher gives users one-click access to the apps, sites, and tools they use every day, surfaced directly on any SharePoint page. Built on the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) with no external hosting required, it integrates seamlessly into modern intranets and is configured entirely by site editors through the standard property pane.

App Launcher is designed for businesses running their intranet on Microsoft 365. It is particularly suited to:

- Flexible layout. Configure grids from 1×N up to 6×N. Choose tile sizes (Small, Medium, Large) and shapes (Rounded, Square, Circle)
- Admin-curated tiles. Manage applications and links through a simple SharePoint list. No coding required
- Audience targeting. Show different tiles to different groups using SharePoint's native audience targeting
- User personalisation. Allow users to pin favourites, hide unused tiles, reorder their layout, and add personal links — preferences stored securely within your tenant
- Built-in search. Optional search bar lets users filter tiles by title, description, or category
- Custom icons. Use Fluent UI icons or upload your own image files for branded tiles
- Open in same tab or new tab. Configurable per tile

Privacy and security
App Launcher runs entirely within your Microsoft 365 tenant under the signed-in user's existing SharePoint permissions. No personal data, document content, or user identifiers leave the tenant. Personalisation preferences are stored within the user's own profile in your tenant. The only external communication is a periodic licence validation call to ThePoint's API, which transmits only your Microsoft 365 tenant ID for subscription verification.
Subscription and trial
Once the free trial period has ended, users can purchase the appropriate license or subscription plan to continue using the application without trial limitations. Upon successful license activation, the trial banner will be removed automatically, and users will have access to the full licensed experience. Request access at the-point.uk/contact.
