Fabric Migration

Spectral Core Fabric Migration is a native Microsoft Fabric workload that helps organizations migrate both data and database code to Fabric through one guided experience.

It combines Omni Loader for high-performance data migration with SQL Tran for database code migration, including schemas, objects, SQL, and stored procedures, so teams can modernize existing platforms without switching between multiple tools and portals. The workload runs inside the Fabric experience, allowing users to discover, initiate, and manage migration workflows directly from their Fabric workspace.

For database code migration to Microsoft Fabric Warehouse, Spectral Core Fabric Migration supports SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Synapse Analytics Dedicated SQL Pool. Free plan supports all of the functionality, including a powerful testing framework. Premium plan adds ability to generate hundreds of tests automatically using a powerful static analysis framework.

For data migration into Fabric, there is a significant difference between Free and Premium plans. Free plan supports core Microsoft sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Synapse Analytics Dedicated SQL Pool, and Synapse SQL Serverless. The Premium plan includes all Free plan sources and adds a broad set of enterprise and cloud platforms, including Amazon RDS, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Teradata, DB2, BigQuery, Spanner, Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric SQL Database, Fabric Warehouse, Greenplum, MariaDB, Netezza, Vertica, Yellowbrick, and more.
