Interactive Gantt for Power BI: promo, project, production or fleet planning - year to hour level.
Promo Gantt Chart is a Power BI custom visual for high-level timeline planning. It was built for FMCG promotional and trade-promotion planning, and it works just as well for project and portfolio schedules, production and maintenance plans, and R&D/innovation roadmaps. One engine for any timeline: automatic stacking, fiscal calendars, color coding and cross-filtering — now down to day and hour level with the new Week zoom.
The field wells use FMCG names (Promo, Customer, Brand, ATL) but map cleanly to any domain - a "Promo" can be a project, work order, booking or campaign; a lane can be a programme, asset, vehicle or channel.

The visual is free to use with basic features. A 14-day free trial of all Pro features is included automatically on first use. After the trial expires, the visual defaults back to the free version with limited features. To continue using Pro features, a paid Pro license is required. - Timeline visualization of items as horizontal bars
- Week-based views with quarterly, monthly, and period headers

- Single category grouping with wrap-text row labels

Pro Version adds:

- Up to 3 category grouping levels with hierarchy mode

- Week zoom (new) - day and hour level planning: day-by-day scrolling, hour buckets between your working hours (e.g. 08:00–18:00), extended day headers, hour gridlines and banded columns. Date-time Start/End values position bars at the exact hour
- Working Days (new) - hide selected weekdays (e.g. weekends) at Month and Week zoom; bars spanning hidden days stay continuous
- Ghost Mode - year-over-year comparison with last year's plan
- Second timeline track - an above-the-line/ATL overlay for media campaigns, milestones or workstreams

- Tooltip Date Format - Auto (viewer's regional setting) or 5 explicit formats
- Sort Order per grouping level - Source order (honors "Sort by column"), Alphabetical, or By start date; Level 2 sorts independently (new), defaulting to "Same as Level 1"
- Flexible time-axis header - toggle the week-number row, add a compact "Start date" row at Year / 6-Month / Quarter zoom, or switch Month-zoom day indicators between letters (M T W) and numbers (4 5 6)
- Readability lines (new) - extend row-group and level-2 boundaries into the chart body as thin lines with configurable colors
- Control bar sizing (new) - set control-bar font size and cap dropdown width (long values truncate with an ellipsis, full value on hover)
