Introstat LearnerVerify

Introstat LearnerVerify is a learner identity verification, headcount and data quality audit service for national and provincial education departments. It establishes a verified register of the learners actually present in public schools, prepares a reference-day headcount for the department's certification, reconciles the register to the department's own learner information system, and produces a data quality audit pack with correction worklists.

Every learner is verified in person against the school's own roster during the census window, and on the reference day the class teacher records presence and the principal countersigns. Introstat prepares the count and the data quality audit pack for the department's certification; the independent recount of a seeded sample is performed by the department's internal audit or an appointed assurance provider, never by Introstat.

Consent and biometrics

No face template is created without a granted prior consent state, checked in software on the capture device and again on the server. Templates used to find duplicates are created, stored and matched only on the service's servers and are never sent to a tablet or terminal. Where presence terminals record daily attendance, each receives photographs and identifiers only for consented learners enrolled at that site and creates its own template, used only there, never returned and deleted on withdrawal or transfer.
