What is Azure Virtual Desktop?

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a cloud-based service that allows your employees to access their desktops and applications from anywhere, using any device. It provides a full Windows 11 experience without the need for physical hardware. This means your team can work remotely with the same efficiency and security as if they were in the office.

Our Approach

Our Managed Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solution aligns with Microsoft best practices. This alignment helps our solutions to be not only robust and secure but also optimized for performance and cost-efficiency, providing you with a reliable and scalable virtual desktop environment.

Our Delivery

• Assessment: We perform a full assessment of your licensing, user landscape, application landscape, core infrastructure and client configuration/connectivity to collect data that drives design decisions for AVD, specific to user types, desktops and applications. With this data, we will create a personalized solution that meets your requirements.
• Design: We develop a complete design including: user density/user segmentation, application landscape, Identity & Access Management integration, Security, Compliance, network connectivity, governance, high availability / disaster recovery, host pool sizing, master Windows image, profile storage, load balancing and scaling, monitoring, and patching.
• Proof-of-Concept or Pilot: We execute a small, limited Proof-of-Concept (POC) or Pilot to evaluate the design, validate user experience and understand cost estimates before production rollout commences. During this phase we will make necessary changes to the design based on any findings and feedback.
• Production Deployment: We deploy the final agreed upon design to your production Azure subscription and configure all features based on your requirements.
• Service Validation & Testing: We will test and evaluate the performance of the desktops and applications to validate user experience, meets performance/cost expectations, is within acceptable operating limits and the solution is functioning according to the design.

Deliverables

During the engagement as we reach specific project milestones, we will provide you with the following:

• Cloud Adoption Business Strategy: A documented plan that captures your business needs, business challenges that Azure Virtual Desktop solves, and a personalized plan of recommendations for the solution to achieve its business strategy goals.
• Cloud Adoption Plan: A documented project plan of all tasks, milestones and due dates for how our engagement together will be executed and governed.
• Azure Landing Zone: An architecture diagram of the Azure Virtual Desktop landing zone where Azure Virtual Desktop will live in your Azure subscription.
• Workload Assessment: A document that describes our assessment of your requirements to drive design decisions around users, applications, sizing, network, security and other architecture decisions.
