SmartFinance Decision Intelligence Platform

SmartFinance Decision Intelligence supports governance review for ERP payment execution approval

SmartFinance Decision Intelligence introduces a governance layer between financial approval and ERP payment execution, enabling finance teams to determine whether approved financial obligations should proceed to payment under current financial and operating conditions.

In enterprise environments, transactional approval is often treated as a sufficient condition for execution. However, the collective execution of approved financial obligations within a payment cycle may introduce liquidity exposure, supplier concentration risk, or duplicate payment scenarios that are not visible at the individual transaction level.

These risks may be amplified under short‑term financial volatility arising from external market conditions such as commodity price fluctuation, supplier disruption, or changes in operating cost structures. Rapid changes in input costs or supplier‑side variability may alter short‑term cash exposure between approval and payment initiation.

SmartFinance provides a governed portfolio‑level view of approved financial obligations and supports structured evaluation of execution readiness prior to initiating ERP payment runs. This enables finance teams to assess whether releasing approved supplier payments at a given point in time aligns with internal liquidity thresholds, supplier exposure limits, or short‑term financial risk tolerance.

Governance outputs are derived exclusively from validated financial obligations and portfolio context and are intended to inform human‑led execution decisions. The platform does not initiate ERP payment actions or enforce execution outcomes.

ERP payment execution proceeds only following human approval of governance‑supported execution readiness, preserving financial accountability within established internal control frameworks. The platform maintains traceability between execution readiness assessments and the underlying financial obligations under review, supporting auditability across execution decisions.

SmartFinance Decision Intelligence operates within Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform as a managed Power Platform application installed into the customer tenant, without requiring external infrastructure or publisher‑hosted services.
