VerbaPulse for Outlook - real-time communication risk intelligence, before you hit send
VerbaPulse works inside Outlook while you write. As you compose or reply, it checks the text against your organization's own policies and flags legal exposure, confidentiality and NDA breaches, regulated-communication and tipping-off phrasing, antitrust-risk language, discriminatory hiring wording, and policy violations. It explains why a phrase is risky, suggests a compliant alternative, and leaves the decision with you. Every flag and every decision is logged as audit-ready compliance evidence.
Most organizations govern their documents and their networks. Very few govern the sentence being typed, which is where legal exposure, confidentiality breaches and regulated-communication offences are actually created.
The problem
Legal review sees what has already been sent. Compliance training happens once a year, while risk happens every day. DLP, supervision and archiving catch data after it leaves the network and prove a breach to the regulator afterwards; none of them prevent the message. Regulators have moved to the message level: SEC and FINRA have issued more than $3B in off-channel communication fines since 2021, and internal messages have driven multi-billion-dollar settlements. The missing control is at the moment of writing, the last point where prevention is still possible.

You draft an email or reply in Outlook.
VerbaPulse analyzes the text as you write, against your organization's uploaded policies.
Risk is highlighted inline, with its category and severity.
A compliant alternative is suggested, with a plain-language explanation of the exposure.
You accept, edit or dismiss. The decision is always yours.
The event and the decision are logged, feeding the dashboard and the monthly Evidence Pack.
What makes VerbaPulse different
Pre-send. Every established control is retrospective; VerbaPulse operates at the only point where the risk can still be avoided.
Your own rules. Risk is defined by each organization's policies. Your compliance, NDA, legal and brand documents are uploaded and enforced as the standard, rather than a generic model's opinion.
A seatbelt, not surveillance. Nothing is blocked and nobody is reported. Coaching happens at the moment of writing, and reporting is aggregated at team level, which is what makes adoption possible in works-council and employee-representation environments.
Evidence built in. The audit log, department-level trends and the monthly Evidence Pack map to ISO 27002:2022 controls A.5.14, A.8.12 and A.6.3.
Who it is for
EU regulated financial services, fintech and payments firms, and law firms with 100 to 1,000 employees in a Microsoft 365 environment, where the compliance or legal function owns the budget.
Security and data protection
Message content is analyzed transiently and never stored. Only metadata is logged: risk category, severity, action taken, timestamp.
All AI processing takes place in the EU (Azure OpenAI, EU region), under an EU-incorporated entity.
Each organization's data is isolated; all data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or above.
GDPR-compliant processing, with a DPA available to sign and an ISO 27002 control mapping.
Account and access
VerbaPulse requires a VerbaPulse workspace account. It is an organization-provisioned (enterprise) product: an administrator sets up the workspace and adds users, who then activate the add-in. Individual self-sign-up is not offered; access is provisioned by the organization.

Event-based activation notice
VerbaPulse uses event-based activation to run automatically as you write or open an email in Outlook, so it can check the text for compliance, confidentiality and policy risk in real time and offer a safer alternative. It never sends, blocks, edits or deletes your messages, and it does not store message content. Every decision stays with you.
