Draft, improve, and analyze patent documents directly in Word.
The add-in provides AI-assisted text editing features inside Microsoft Word. Its main functions are:
User Authentication:
-Supports Microsoft Entra ID sign-in.
-Requires a Kvant API key to enable AI processing.
Text Selection and Processing:
- Users select text in a Word document and click the add-in button.
- The add-in sends the selected text to the Kvant LLM service via API.
- The LLM returns a reformulated version of the text (improved clarity, grammar, and style).
Output Options:
- Insert Result: insert the reformulated text at the cursor position.
- Replace Selection: replace the original text with the reformulated version.
- Copy to Clipboard: copy the reformulated text without inserting it.
Settings Panel:
- Field to enter/manage the Kvant API key.
- Authentication controls (sign in / sign out).
Compatibility:
- Works in Word for Windows (WebView2 runtime) and Word Online (Edge/Chrome).
- Not yet supported in Word for Mac.
Required Licence:
- The user needs an API key from Kvant MAAS.
