RHEL for HPC is a preferred platform for many of the world's most complex scientific computing problems. This initial release for RHEL for HPC on Azure includes a base RHEL image with an Ansible system role to install several commonly used tools and libraries to reduce the time and energy needed to set up your environment, including:
- NVIDIA CUDA
- NVIDIA NCCL
- Open MPI
- RDMA Core
- NVIDIA Fabric Manager
This offering provides full access to the next release (tentatively scheduled for 2026) which will include an even more comprehensive set of tools, libraries, and optimizations that are critical for HPC to make it even easier to deploy HPC workloads on Azure.
This RHEL image delivers the consistency you expect from RHEL with built-in Azure-specific configurations to ensure performance, integration and observability in your Azure-based RHEL systems.
