Pin Map

This custom Power BI visual allows you to display your geospatial data on an interactive Leaflet map. With this solution, you can easily visualize your geographic points based on latitude and longitude coordinates directly within your Power BI reports. The map is fully interactive and enables your users to zoom, pan, and explore data intuitively. You have three map styles to choose from: the Standard style using OpenStreetMap, a Light style with CartoDB Light for a clean appearance, or a Dark style with CartoDB Dark for your night-mode dashboards. Markers on the map are fully customizable. You can choose between standard pins or circles, adjust their colors to match your branding, and modify their size to better suit your visual needs. Each marker can display a label and detailed description on hover or click. An integrated dynamic filtering system allows you to explore your data interactively. The collapsible filter panel, designed to optimize display space, lets you filter your points across multiple dimensions simultaneously. The visual integrates seamlessly with Power BI's native features, including cross-filtering and report filters. This visual is particularly well-suited for visualizing store, office, or site locations, analyzing geographic sales or distribution data, displaying routes or service areas, or creating comprehensive interactive geospatial dashboards. To use this visual, you must provide at minimum the latitude and longitude coordinates. You can also add labels to identify your points, filtering dimensions to segment your data, and descriptions to enrich the displayed information. All customization options are accessible from the Power BI formatting pane.
