Power BI slicers default to no selection, leaving reports blank, breaking visuals, and delivering an incomplete experience to end users the moment a page loads. Auto Select Slicer eliminates this gap. In Single Select mode, the visual automatically selects the first available value on load and holds a valid selection as filters change, so reports never render into an empty state. In Multi Select mode, all values can be selected by default for an immediate full-dataset view, without requiring any user action.
Supports Dropdown, List, and Tile layouts with a fully customizable Slicer Header — including title, font styling, color, and a dynamic summary of selected values. Font size, bold, italic, underline, padding, borders, and background colors apply across all elements. Cross-filtering and slicer-to-slicer interactions are fully supported, with selections maintained as connected visuals update the dataset.
