Image Sequence Player

The Image Sequence Player is a Power BI custom visual that displays an ordered series of images as a playable sequence, with built-in controls to play, pause, loop, or step through frames manually. It is designed for dashboard creators and analysts who need to present sequential or time-based visual content directly within a Power BI report. Common use cases include process steps, product catalogs, and period-over-period comparisons that would otherwise rely on external tools or static visuals. The visual supports HTTP/HTTPS image URLs, as well as Base64 and SVG Data URIs. Frames can include data-driven captions, navigation dots, and configurable transition effects. As the sequence progresses, the visual enables cross-filtering and cross-highlighting across other report elements, with interaction behavior managed through Power BI’s standard settings. Native high-contrast mode is also supported to improve accessibility.
