FreeScout is a free, open source, self hosted help desk and shared mailbox, a lightweight alternative to Zendesk and Help Scout. It turns incoming email into a shared inbox of conversations that your team can assign, reply to and collaborate on with internal notes, saved replies and tags, and it can be extended with modules.
This cloudimg image runs FreeScout on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with nginx, PHP and MariaDB, hardened and fully patched. It is secure by default: the app is served over HTTPS with a TLS certificate generated uniquely for your instance, and a unique administrator account is generated on first boot, so no default or shared credential ever ships. Every deployment is paired with a step by step deploy guide and backed by 24/7 expert support. cloudimg is not affiliated with the FreeScout project.
