"Global Search is a Power BI visual designed to make searching for information in reports simpler and faster. Instead of navigating through multiple slicers or knowing exactly which column contains the data, users can simply type what they are looking for and see the results in one place.

Its main differentiator is unified search across multiple columns, allowing up to 25 fields to be searched simultaneously, with results clearly organized by field.

Filters work in a smart, cascading way: when a value is selected, the available options in other fields are automatically refined to show only valid combinations. This means users will never see empty results after applying a filter.

The visual offers a modern and intuitive experience, with removable filter tags, support for large data volumes, and automatic updates when other report filters are changed.
