Legal Connection Add-in for Word

The Legal Connection Add-in for Word works with contracts opened from your Legal Connection workspace. When you edit a contract from Legal Connection, the add-in loads inside Word and lets you run AI playbooks, rewrite clauses, and save revisions back to Legal Connection — all without leaving the document.

Key features

• Apply Redlining — Run your legal playbook against the open contract and review AI-generated redline suggestions as native Word track changes you can accept or reject.
• Save and Leave — When you're done editing, click "Save and Leave" to push your revised document back to your Legal Connection workspace as a new version.
• Native Word experience — Uses standard Word track changes in a task pane — no export, no copy-paste, no third-party viewer.

How to use it

1. Open a contract from your Legal Connection workspace.
2. Click on "Run playbook" from the three-dots menu.
3. Click on "Apply Redlining" in the popup if any rules failed.
4. The contract opens in Word for the web with the add-in active.
5. If any playbook rules failed, click Apply Redlining in the taskpane to apply the AI suggestions as tracked changes — then accept or reject each one. If the button is not shown, all rules passed and no redlining is needed.
6. Click Save and leave to push your revisions back to the workspace.

Law firms, in-house legal teams, and legal operations professionals who use the Legal Connection platform to draft, negotiate, and review contracts.

Requirements

Enterprise account required. This add-in is available only to customers with an active Legal Connection enterprise account. Individual sign-up from within the add-in is not supported.
