Multi-Layer 3D Donut & Pie Chart combines four chart layouts — Donut 2D, Donut 3D, Pie 2D and Pie 3D — into one polished Power BI custom visual, with full multi-ring (concentric) rendering, KPI gauge mode and a richly organized formatting pane. Drop in your Legend field and one or more Values measures and the visual takes over: each Legend value becomes a slice, each measure becomes a ring, and the entire layout auto-fits the available space with proper 2D/3D rendering, smooth hover micro-interactions and an animated reveal on data change. KEY CAPABILITIES • Four layouts in one — toggle between Donut/Pie shapes and 2D/3D dimensions from the Chart Type card. Adjustable hole size, ring spacing, slice padding, corner radius, start angle, 3D depth and 3D tilt. • Multi-ring rendering — when Multiple Rings is on (default), each measure in your Values bucket becomes its own concentric ring; or use the optional Details field for series-driven ring splits. • Gauge / KPI mode — mark category names as "background" so they render but stay out of the legend and data labels (perfect for the "Remaining %" wedge in a progress dial). Optional curved per-ring labels show the measure name and filled %. • Per-slice color picker — Data Colors exposes one direct color picker per (ring × category) slice. No conditional formatting prompts, no fx button — just plain swatches. Defaults match across rings by Legend value, and individual picks override only that wedge. • Tooltips and cross-filter — built on Power BI's tooltip service with extra "Highlighted" / "Highlighted %" rows that appear when another visual cross-filters the chart. Cross-filter is wired up to tables, slicers, matrices and other charts out of the box. • Context menu — right-click any slice, legend entry or empty area to drill, exclude, see data, or any other Power BI context action. • Configurable legend — switch the displayed legend between Legend (categories) or Values (rings) without affecting the chart slices. Position top, bottom, left, right, top-center or bottom-center, with full font and color controls. • Cross-filter dimming — selecting a row in a Table, Slicer or another visual dims unrelated wedges to your configured Unselected Opacity, with full visual coherence including the 3D side walls. • Highlight cross-link — hovering a slice or a legend pill lifts the matching data point and softly dims the rest, with a subtle drop-shadow filter. • Accessibility — keyboard focus on slices and legend items, ARIA labels, high-contrast theme support (outline rendering with foreground stroke) and host.allowInteractions honored for read-only dashboards. • Animation — slices grow from start angle to final span on first render and on data change with cubic-out easing. Disable via the Animation card.
