Dynamic Date Slicer

The Simple Dynamic Date Slicer lets users filter time-based data in Power BI using either a Fixed or Relative mode. Designed to be integrated into Power BI to add more flexibility for users when it comes to filtering a dataset using a date range.

Features:

Fixed mode
1. Select Start Date (or type in date)
2. Select End Date (or type in date)

Relative mode
1. Select (Last / Next / This)
2. Enter numeric value
3. Choose period:
   3a. Days
   3b. Weeks
   3c. Weeks (Calendar)
   3d. Months
   3e. Months (Calendar)
   3f. Years
   3g. Years (Calendar)

Dynamic Button
1. Select Either Relative or Fixed
2. ONLY 1 FILTER is applied at a time—the slicers work independently of one another.

Configurable UI
1. Configure colors, text styles, outlines, and more!
2. Toggleable Clear button
3. Toggle On/Off labels for specific relative units (example: disabling Weeks (Calendar) if it isn’t needed).

Additional info
For Fixed ranges, labels clamp to the dataset’s effective min/max when a user selects a range outside the available data so it’s clear what’s included. The selected mode and values are persistent; the slicer remains consistent when navigating away from and back to the page.
