Microsoft 365 Tenant-to-Tenant Migration is a Node4 service designed to ensure a smooth transition of your Microsoft 365 data with minimal disruption and downtime. Whether driven by a merger, acquisition, divestiture, or rebranding, Node4 can migrate your email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams data to a new tenant while maintaining security, permissions, and metadata integrity.
Our team will work with you to configure a baseline Microsoft 365 environment that is secure, aligned with your business needs and ready for data migration. This foundation ensures that your tenant is optimised for both current operations and future growth. We also provide training and knowledge transfer to help your staff and IT team confidently adopt and manage the new tenant.
Node4 will help you select the most suitable migration tool from our trusted partners, applying tested and proven methodologies to deliver a seamless transition that safeguards productivity and ensures business continuity.
Each engagement includes a Tenant Configuration Document and test plan. These outline how the core Microsoft 365 services will be configured and validated against the agreed baseline.
Requirements Gathering Workshop
Node4 will conduct a workshop with you to review your current Microsoft 365 environment to ensure the engagement is adequate to the level of complexity, and to agree on how your data will be migrated.
Configuration Document and Test Plan
Node4 will document the tenant baseline configuration and the test plan, detailing what is being delivered and how. The document will include the source and target locations, the migration tools, the migration schedule, and the testing criteria. Migration of Data
Node4 will migrate your email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams data from the source tenant to the destination tenant, using the agreed migration tool. We will migrate:
• Up to 100 users • One domain • One mailbox per user • Users OneDrive • Up to 20 source locations in SharePoint and Teams • Up to 2TB of file data • Up to 100 mailboxes.
Training and Handover
Node4 will train your admin and IT staff on how to administer the permissions and settings of your SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive environment. We will also hand over the environment to your operations team, with completed Tenant Configuration Document.
