Replicate data from hybrid and on-premises systems into Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric with secure deployment and Change Data Capture.
CData Sync is a hybrid data replication platform that moves data from on-premises systems, cloud applications, and enterprise databases into Azure services in a controlled and consistent way. It is designed for data engineering teams, cloud architects, analytics owners, and platform engineers who manage hybrid estates and need reliable and governed data ingestion for Azure analytics and AI initiatives.
Many organizations struggle to bring together data from disconnected operational systems and siloed on-premises applications while maintaining the security, freshness, and consistency required for Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and other Azure-native analytics services. Sync addresses this need by giving customers a predictable and secure way to replicate data into Azure without extensive engineering work or complex source-side configuration.
Sync supports hundreds of enterprise systems used across Azure environments, including SQL Server and other operational databases, financial systems, line-of-business applications, and modern SaaS tools. It provides flexible scheduling, schema control, and Change Data Capture to maintain data freshness while reducing load on production systems. Sync Workspaces allow teams to organize jobs, connections, and resources by project, domain, or environment to support separation of duties and multi-team administration.
Sync minimizes privilege escalation by avoiding the elevated database permissions required by many ingestion approaches. It can be deployed privately in an Azure virtual machine or within a customer VNet without opening inbound firewall rules or exposing source systems to external traffic. It includes enterprise-grade security with TLS/SSL encryption and granular access controls, ensuring that sensitive or regulated data moves into Azure under strict governance requirements. Sync provides role-based access controls through user roles and workspace-level administration, allowing teams to define permissions and manage separation of duties across projects and environments.
Sync delivers data to a wide range of Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Databricks. It supports Parquet and Delta landing patterns for lakehouse architectures and works with workspace-based environments in Fabric and Azure Databricks. Sync is compatible with Fabric OneLake through Open Mirroring, helping customers align ingestion with Azure-native storage formats that work across SQL engines, lakehouse engines, and Spark-based compute layers.
By replicating only the changes that matter, Sync helps reduce unnecessary compute and storage consumption in downstream Azure workloads. This benefits teams operating cost-sensitive pipelines in Synapse, Fabric, and Azure Databricks. Sync provides a straightforward way to centralize ingestion for hundreds of sources while enforcing consistent naming, schema, and retention policies across a distributed data estate.
Organizations use Sync to support operational reporting, analytics models, machine-learning feature pipelines, and AI workloads that depend on reliable and timely data movement inside Azure. Sync also supports reverse ETL patterns, allowing teams to push enriched data from Azure back into operational systems to support reporting, automation, and customer-facing workflows.
Sync gives organizations a cohesive and scalable approach to hybrid data ingestion that aligns with Azure architecture, governance, and security expectations. It supports modernization initiatives and provides a strong foundation for building analytics and AI capabilities across Azure SQL, Synapse, Fabric, and lakehouse environments.
