Securing Microsoft 365 Copilot Deployment Workshop

Microsoft SharePoint Online is the foundation of any organisation’s collaboration and storage solution. For example, each Microsoft Teams is a Microsoft SharePoint site, and everyone’s Microsoft OneDrive is a personal Microsoft SharePoint site. Microsoft SharePoint site content sprawl and oversharing are real challenges for organisations today. Site content sprawl is commonly caused by high volume creation of SharePoint sites through self-service sites or Teams creation, and content oversharing is where content is shared beyond the intended audience either intentionally or accidentally.

Microsoft 365 Copilot only surfaces organisational data to which individual users have at least view permissions. It is important that you use the permission models available in Microsoft 365 services, such as SharePoint to help ensure the right users or groups have the right access to the right content within your organisation.
