Azure Monitor Managed Service for Prometheus

Azure monitored Managed Service for Prometheus provides a highly available, scalable, and secure metrics platform to monitor your containerized workloads.

Setting up Managed Prometheus

1. Create an Azure Monitor workspace (Azure Monitor workspaces enable the Managed Prometheus service)
2. Enable the Azure Monitor Metrics add-on for your AKS clusters to send your Prometheus metrics to Managed Prometheus. You can view specific configuration instructions by accessing your Azure Monitor workspace.
3. Connect your Grafana (Azure-managed or self-managed) to your Azure Monitor workspace to view dashboards. For Azure Managed Grafana, you can do this on Step 2 above when enabling Prometheus metrics for your AKS cluster. For self-managed Grafana please refer to our documentation.
