AHAU 260 connects your documents and spreadsheets to your work: link tasks, projects, and context from Jira, Asana, Outlook, and Teams without leaving Office.

AI Chat in the task pane

An AI assistant works directly inside Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It uses your current document or selection as context and can run host-specific actions. AI Chat also has access to your email, tasks and calendars from connected systems (e.g. Jira, Asana, Outlook), checklists and timers, and can manage them—giving you one comprehensive assistant across documents and work.

• Word: Draft and improve text, rewrite sections, insert structured content. Use message actions to insert the AI response into the document or replace the current selection.
• Excel: Get analysis of selected data, formula suggestions, and table-ready output. Write results into selected cells with one click.
• PowerPoint: Generate and refine slide text and insert content into the current slide.

How it works

• Open the AI Chat page from the add-in, start a conversation or pick an existing chat.
• Choose a model (speed vs quality) and optionally a skill (e.g. executive writer, analyst) for consistent tone and format.
• Turn Include context on so the AI sees your current pane and document; ask your question and send.
• Use message actions (Insert to Word, Set selected cells, Insert to slide) to apply the response where you work.

Skills and models

Skills are reusable behavior profiles (support replies, PM updates, technical writing). Models range from fast drafting to stronger reasoning for analysis and long documents. Use both together for best results.
