VM image to provision a node for an Oracle RAC cluster
The VM image contains FlashGrid software and can be used for creating Oracle Real Application Clusters nodes. FlashGrid-enabled clusters have high availability and performance characteristics required for running mission-critical enterprise databases.
FlashGrid software included on the image:
- FlashGrid Cloud Area Network (CLAN). Enables network capabilities required by Oracle RAC including virtual IPs and multicast.
- FlashGrid Storage Fabric. Turns Azure Premium SSD disks attached to database nodes into shared storage.
Use this VM image and a Resource Manager template generated with FlashGrid Cloud Provisioning tool to deploy an Oracle RAC cluster with a few mouse clicks.
