The Message Bar visual adds a clear context layer to Power BI reports by displaying rule-based messages directly on the canvas. It helps users understand what the numbers mean without relying on extra pages, notes, or explanations.
You can configure up to eight independent rules. Each rule compares a KPI against a target or condition and, when triggered, displays a message bar with a defined severity level such as Info, Success, Caution, Critical, or No Message. When multiple rules apply, messages stack automatically to provide a concise, prioritised summary of what matters right now.
