Advanced Pricing and Discount Control

AL Discount and Pricing works across sales and purchase quotes, orders, and invoices, providing additional pricing and discount fields at both header and line level. This enables precise and consistent management of final prices presented to customers or received from vendors.

Header-Level Features

At document header level, the app supports:

• Compound Discounts with multiple levels (e.g. 10% + 5%) applied to all lines
• Payment Discounts automatically driven by payment terms
• Invoice Discounts with manual override capability
• Additional Invoice Discount
  Override automatically calculated invoice discounts when required. All discounts are recalculated automatically and applied consistently across the document.

Line-Level Overrides and Price Inheritance

At line level, users can apply:

• Forced Compound Discounts on individual lines
• Forced Unit Prices per line

When lines are created from another document (for example, an invoice generated from an order), the forced price and discount are automatically inherited from the source document. This ensures that if quantities are changed and Business Central recalculates prices, the original amounts remain unchanged, preventing unintended value differences.
