Ataski FP&A
by Ataski
Your financial model as a twenty-sheet workbook: change a price and the whole year moves.
Ataski FP&A puts your financial model into the workbook you already plan in — as a model, not as a report of one.
Press "Build the book" and the add-in writes twenty sheets in reading order. Model is the plan itself: one row per line of your P&L, the method as a word you pick from a list, the blue input cells you own — a price, a quantity, a rate, a growth, a share of another line — and then the months, as real Excel formulas over those blue cells. Dashboard is the answer: the closed month against the month before, against last year and against plan, with the checks and the unit metrics. Cash is one monthly cash statement, closed and forecast months in a single row set, plus the 13 weeks and the payment calendar. Scenarios holds every number a scenario moves, in three columns, and the switch on Dashboard moves the model to another scenario inside the file. How to use this, Balance sheet, Actuals, Metrics, four Breakdowns, Month close, Group, Checks, Changes, Log, Reference and Seasonality complete the book, and one hidden sheet records which cell carries which value.
Type 1 250 into a price cell and the whole year moves — in the workbook, before anything is sent anywhere. The sheet is the model, so a what-if costs a keystroke.
"Sync now" sends what you changed and brings back the recomputed book, with Ataski's own verdict on every edit. Closed months are grey, carry no edit key and are never sent: they are your books, not a forecast. A cell holding a formula is left alone — a formula means "keep calculating". And when the same number moved in the workbook and in Ataski, the workbook keeps yours, the cell names both numbers, and a person settles it in Ataski. There is no silent overwrite in either direction. "Keep in sync automatically" re-reads Ataski hourly and sends an edit seconds after you make it, while the workbook is open.
Signing in takes one approval and no credential. Press "Sign in to Ataski": the pane shows a six-digit code and opens the approval page, you approve it in the browser where you are already signed in, and the key arrives on its own. The code lives 10 minutes and is used once, and nothing is pasted into the workbook.
The add-in reads and writes only the workbook it is open in, under the single Office permission ReadWriteDocument. It holds no Microsoft Graph permission — your mailbox, your calendar and your files are not visible to it — and it never writes to your accounting system: closed months arrive read-only, and a forecast is approved by a person in Ataski, never by a spreadsheet.
The add-in is free to install. An Ataski subscription is required for the service it connects to.
