Carpool with your colleagues, right from Microsoft Teams.
TeamWheels turns Microsoft Teams into your company's carpool concierge. Talk to
it in plain language — it understands everyday requests and does the legwork:
- Offer a ride: "I'm driving to Lyon Tuesday 8am, 3 seats" opens a pre-filled
form; one click publishes your trip.
- Find a carpool: "anyone going home tonight?" returns the best matches by
route and time, with one-tap join requests.
- Stay in sync: drivers accept or decline from a card; everyone gets
confirmations, cancellations with alternative rides, and 24h/1h departure
reminders in chat and in the Teams activity feed.
- See the impact: ask for "carpool stats" to get your company's trips, seats
filled, and accept rate.
Who it's for: employees of any organization using Microsoft Teams who want to
share commutes and business-trip rides with colleagues.
Supported Microsoft products and services: Microsoft Teams on desktop, web, and
mobile (iOS and Android), and as an agent for Microsoft Copilot (a Microsoft
365 Copilot license is required for the agent experience).
Account requirements: to use this app, you need an active Microsoft Teams
account in your organization — no separate TeamWheels account or sign-up is
required. Your IT administrator may need to approve the app before it can be
installed.
Limitations and conditions: replies are AI-generated and labeled as such; trips
are only created, changed, or cancelled when you confirm via a card button —
the AI never books, changes, or cancels anything on its own. Ride search
matches trips on the same calendar date within 25 km of the requested origin
and destination. Departure reminders are sent 24 hours and 1 hour before
departure and are not yet configurable. Available in English and French. Trip
data is stored in your organization's Azure region.
