View and edit draw.io diagrams on SharePoint pages, stored in your own document libraries.
draw.io Diagram Editor puts the draw.io diagramming editor directly on your SharePoint pages. Pick a diagram from a document library, or create a new one, and it appears on the page: readers see it inline, and page authors edit it in place without leaving SharePoint.
The package contains a single web part, draw.io, for modern pages. It can also be used as a full-page app.
How it works
- Choose any .drawio file from your SharePoint document libraries, or create a blank diagram in the folder you pick.
- Visitors to a published page see the diagram inline, with zoom and page navigation. In page edit mode the full editor opens inside the web part.
- Sign in once with your Microsoft 365 account. There is no draw.io account, registration or licence key.
- Diagrams are ordinary files in your libraries, so versioning, permissions, sharing and retention work exactly as they do for any other document.
- Optionally point the web part at a self-hosted draw.io instance instead of app.diagrams.net.
Your data stays in your tenant
The editor runs in the browser and reads and writes diagrams through Microsoft Graph with the signed-in user's own permissions. draw.io servers never store your diagram content. The editor is open source: source code on GitHub.
