iSNOMED

iSNOMED is a Generative AI-powered clinical coding copilot for clinicians, CDI teams, and medical coders. It reads clinical notes, radiology summaries, and discharge narratives to automatically produce SNOMED CT concepts and ICD-10-CM codes, with a plain-language explanation for each assigned code to support clinical transparency and faster review.

Why it matters:

Traditional coding workflows can take 30–60 minutes for discharge summaries and require manual search through terminology tools. iSNOMED reduces coding turnaround to seconds - including real-time coding for very-short notes (1 - 3 lines) in <3 seconds - while maintaining high accuracy validated on large internal test sets.

Key capabilities:

1. Auto-extract SNOMED CT concepts from clinical narratives.
2. Convert SNOMED CT to ICD-10-CM to support billing, reporting, and regulatory workflows.
3. Relationship graph/hierarchy view to explore SNOMED semantic tags and concept relationships for deeper clinical insight.
4. Include other terminologies (e.g., RxNorm, MedDRA, ICD-11, ICD-O, LOINC) on equest.
5. Convert large corpora of clinical text into SNOMED-coded data and cohort discovery.

How it’s delivered on Azure:

1. Deployable as an Azure-hosted service.
2. Designed to integrate with clinical systems via API (and optionally align to HL7/FHIR integration patterns if you expose those endpoints).
