How to purchase and get started
- Click “Get it now” at the bottom of this page (below “Other apps from Whitewater Foundry”) → choose Bring Your Own Distro (BYOD), Pengwin/Fedora Remix, or Pengwin Enterprise; complete purchase.
Landing page → download Raft (RaftWSLEnterprise_*.msixbundle) and, if your plan includes a distro, download the distro .msixbundle from the same page.
Install → install Raft, then install the distro package (if applicable).
Prereqs → Windows 10/11 with WSL 2 (≥ 2.4.12) and admin rights; install Win32 Content Prep Tool: winget install --id Microsoft.Win32ContentPrepTool
Deploy with Intune → in Raft, Generate Package to create .intunewin + copy-distro.ps1; upload as Windows app (Win32) with the Raft *-verify-installation.ps1 detection script. Add the Raft .msixbundle to Intune as a Line-of-business app and assign it to developers.
Secure & govern → apply Defender for Endpoint P2 and Intune compliance policies.
Note: For Pengwin Enterprise bundles, each user registers their own Red Hat subscription on the first run.
