DeltaForge is a complete lakehouse data platform that runs entirely inside your own Azure subscription. It reads and writes Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg tables natively, with no Spark cluster to operate: one engine handles ingestion, SQL, governance, and BI connectivity.
What this offer deploys
- An always-on platform node (control plane and web console) on Azure Container Apps with managed HTTPS
- A pool of scale-to-zero compute nodes, sized by plan, that clients dial directly for query execution
- Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server as the catalog
- Blob storage for Delta and Iceberg table data, accessed keylessly via managed identity

- Delta Lake and Iceberg read/write with ACID transactions, time travel, schema evolution, OPTIMIZE and VACUUM
- PostgreSQL-flavored SQL plus openCypher graph queries over the same tables
- Ingestion from 15+ file formats (CSV, Parquet, JSON, XML, Avro, ORC, Excel, HL7, FHIR, EDI and more) and federated queries to external databases
- Power BI, Tableau, and Excel connectivity through native ODBC and ADBC drivers
- Pipelines and scheduling, column-level lineage, role-based access control, and per-table usage auditing
- A full web console for SQL, data browsing, dashboards, and administration
Data and telemetry
Your data stays in your subscription: tables, files, and query results are stored and processed entirely within your own Azure resources, and DeltaForge does not host or access your data. For license compliance and metering, the platform sends non-sensitive compute statistics to the DeltaForge license service: instance identifiers, license activation state, and aggregate usage counters such as queries executed and compute units consumed. No customer data, query text, schemas, or credentials are ever transmitted.
License required (bring your own license)
Deployment requires a DeltaForge license key. A free Community license is issued instantly when you register at console.deltaforge.org; paste the key into the deployment form. Paid tiers are purchased separately from DeltaForge and unlock larger compute pools and higher limits.
