Universal Approval Hub adds multi-stage, hierarchy-based approvals to any table in Dynamics 365 —
trigger detection, approver resolution, sequential routing, and automatic status write-back — entirely inside
your Microsoft tenant. Replace email sign-offs and manual status fields with a rule-driven, audit-ready
approval engine for any entity you choose.
Who Is This For?
Any organization on Dynamics 365 or the Power Platform needing configurable sign-off on records — discount
approval, budget approval, or a review gate on a custom table. Serves Approvers (Teams or Outlook), Managers who
define chains, Administrators who configure everything with no code, and Auditors who need a timestamped trail.
Key Benefits
Approvals on any table. Point the engine at any Dataverse entity. Records route the moment a condition is met; status updates automatically.
Data stays in your tenant. Approvals deliver via the Microsoft Approvals connector — no external servers, no third-party databases.
Anyone can configure it. Set trigger conditions and chains with a point-and-click rule builder — no developer, no code, no IT ticket.
A complete audit trail by default. Every request, stage, and outcome is logged with the record, approver, timestamp, and result.
Approver Types
Internal User: a specific Dataverse user.
Team: a Dataverse team; any member can act.
Group: a defined set of users.
Delegation: approvers can nominate a delegate.Features
Set Up a Chain in Minutes. Use the visual Condition Builder to set when a record routes for
approval. Add stages and approvers — no formulas, no code. One active configuration per table keeps rules
Any Number of Stages. Stages process sequentially; each must approve before the next begins,
and a single rejection stops the chain, whether it's two steps or ten.
Resolves the Right Approver. Assign each stage to a User, Team, or Group, plus an optional
delegate, resolved at run time so nobody is missed.
Approve From Anywhere. Requests arrive as native Microsoft Approvals in Teams and Outlook.
Approvers act in one click, and the record updates automatically.
Status Always Current. Status writes back as the chain progresses — Pending, then Approved or
Rejected — with an on-form banner that updates live.
No Approval Lost to Delay. A built-in timeout and reminder flow nudges non-responders and
escalates stalled requests.
Request Approval From the Record. An on-form button submits a record into the chain in one
