BEGIN Disaster Recovery (DR) & Business Continuity (BC) Solution on Microsoft Azure Customer value proposition This solution helps organizations maintain service availability and reduce downtime/data-loss impact by enabling continuous replication, isolated DR testing, rapid failover, and controlled failback on Azure. It is designed for critical workloads running on virtualized platforms (including VMware), physical servers, or other environments that require a repeatable and auditable recovery program. Connection to Microsoft products The solution is deployed on Microsoft Azure and leverages Azure compute, networking, and storage to build dedicated backup, drill, and takeover (failover) environments. We design segregated recovery networks (isolated VNets/subnets), apply least-privilege access and minimized exposure principles, and select storage patterns aligned to RTO/RPO and cost objectives (cost-optimized object storage vs performance-optimized block storage). What we deliver • Assessment & planning: workload inventory, recovery tiering, RTO/RPO targets, dependency review (as available) • Architecture design: network isolation, storage pattern selection, recovery workflow, security controls • Implementation: replication configuration, DR environment build, failover orchestration, runbooks • Testing program: onboarding drill plus quarterly or semiannual DR drills with KPI capture (RTO/RPO), findings, and remediation actions • Failback: documented failback plan and failback rehearsal for defined workload groups • Documentation & training: runbooks, operational handover, monitoring/alerting guidance Service duration Initial deployment is typically 2–6 weeks depending on workload count, data volume/change rate, connectivity, and compliance approvals. Ongoing DR operations can be provided as a recurring program with scheduled drills and continuous improvement. Pricing factors Pricing varies by protected workload scale (servers/VMs, data volume, change rate), target RTO/RPO, selected DR pattern (object vs block), network/connectivity requirements, drill cadence, failback scope, and documentation/training needs. Azure consumption (compute, storage, network) is billed under the customer’s Azure subscription and can be estimated during design.
