Technology creates opportunities and people who master technology create value. Implementation of modern work principles through holistic change management addressing skills, culture and technology.
Based on customer needs, experience and best practice, Bouvet has developed an implementation concept for modern work with Microsoft 365 in 3 stages. The approach is centered around the question "What needs to be in place to create value?" and aims to ensure effective use, mastery and commitment throughout the entire organization. Improved value-creation is obtained by enabling users to improve their everyday job with Microsoft 365 tools.
By working with the company culture, we equip our clients with the necessary capacities to perform current and future tasks. Additionally, the company culture is improved in a way which enables our clients to manage future change processes. An essential part of our work aims to create a culture of learning and sharing across departments and disciplines. This will ensure long-term value-creation.
Besides culture, this approach also addresses skills and knowledge. For Bouvet, this entails more than just technical training. We want to enable employees to understand and exploit the opportunities Microsoft 365 gives them to improve their work. Our approach seeks to give them both knowledge and security of use. We want our clients’ employees to enjoy working in new ways with Microsoft 365. Being able to work safely and in a smarter way, they will gain mastery and feel valuable. Digital collaboration will become a natural way of working, leading to improved efficiency throughout the company.
As a third aspect we address the technical system and infrastructure, licenses, security and governance. Integrated systems ensure secure and efficient dataflow. System, skills and culture need to be synced to ensure smart, targeted and secure use of Microsoft 365.
During stage one (2-4 weeks), Bouvet works with the client to analyze and understand the current state. Working across the entire organization, we create a common understanding of the situation: What works well, and what needs to be improved? We analyze the digital skills of the organization and its employees. The foundations for this work are the company’s goals and desired outcomes for implementing Microsoft 365.
Based on these insights, we conduct two 2-hour workshops with leadership to set priorities, goals and criteria for measurement. We identify gains, “low-hanging fruits” and success criteria adapted to the needs and capacity of the organization.
The final stage is about learning, mastery and increased job satisfaction. We set up a plan for training, communication and governance. A clear action plan that meets both business and human needs is created. Together, we track and follow developments closely along the way, and ensure a flexible and adapted process.
Bouvet developed this concept based on customer needs, experience and best practice. It combines different disciplines, such as OKR, change management (ADKAR) and agile development.
