InsightsAgent Assessment – ETL/DWH/BI Migration Readiness

What this offer is PDI InsightsAgent Assessment is a professional service delivered using PDI’s autonomous InsightsAgent to accelerate discovery and planning for modernizing legacy ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and BI/reporting layers. This offer is structured as an agent-led engagement—PDI operates the agent and provides the findings and roadmap as formal deliverables.

What InsightsAgent evaluates: InsightsAgent connects (read-only where possible) to agreed systems to analyze: • Metadata & configuration (jobs, schedules, mappings, dependencies) • Lineage & dependency graph (upstream/downstream impacts across ETL → DWH → BI) • Complexity drivers & modernization blockers (coupling, custom code, orchestration patterns, data model constraints) • Optimization opportunities (redundant pipelines, inefficient patterns, low-value reports, maintainability risks)

Legacy source environments supported (examples)

This assessment is designed for organizations modernizing from legacy platforms such as: • SAS / SAS DI • Informatica PowerCenter • IBM DataStage • Microsoft SSIS / SSAS (and related SQL Server-based DWH/semantic layer implementations) • Other legacy ETL/DWH/BI stacks (as scoped during kickoff)

Modern target platforms supported (examples) Roadmaps and target recommendations can be aligned to the customer’s chosen modern stack, including: • Microsoft Azure data services • Databricks (including Azure Databricks) • Snowflake (including on Azure) • Informatica IDMC (Platform selection is based on customer strategy and existing contracts.)

1. Current-state inventory of in-scope ETL/DWH/BI assets and key dependencies
2. Migration readiness scorecard (risks, complexity drivers, and key assumptions)
3. Phased migration roadmap (waves) with prioritized remediation actions by business impact
4. High-level cost/effort drivers (not a binding quote; directional estimates based on scope signals)
5. Optimization recommendations for performance, cost, security, and compliance

Engagement approach:

• Kickoff + scope confirmation • Secure access setup (read-only where feasible) + agent scan/extraction of metadata/lineage signals • Analysis + findings review workshop • Final deliverables + recommended next steps Delivery & data handling • Delivered virtually/remote. • Designed to rely primarily on metadata and operational signals; production data extraction is not required unless explicitly agreed in writing.
