PostLedger is a Microsoft 365 add-in for Excel, Word and PowerPoint that turns recurring accounting work — prepaid amortization, depreciation, deferred revenue and other schedules — into a governed, auditable process.

Built for finance teams, not solo spreadsheets. Preparers calculate schedules in Excel and draft supporting reports in Word and PowerPoint. Approvers review and sign off in a built-in workflow (preparer ≠ approver enforced). Approved journal entries are posted directly to your GL. Every calculation, change, approval and posting is captured in an immutable audit trail with full version history — ready for your internal controls and external auditors evidence requests.

Live-linked reports. Word and PowerPoint cells stay linked to the source Excel workbook, so management reports never drift from the underlying schedules.

Licensing & Subscription Requirements:

PostLedger requires a paid PostLedger subscription after a free trial — new accounts begin in trial automatically. To connect PostLedger to your general ledger you must also have an active subscription to one of the following, sold separately by the respective provider:

- Xero (Xero Limited)

- QuickBooks Online (Intuit Inc.)

A Microsoft 365 subscription that supports Office add-ins (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is also required. PostLedger does not include Xero, QuickBooks, or Microsoft 365 licenses.
